A message for juniors

Hai phua. Boleh x kamu tulis tentang life kamu di universiti. Tulis tentang apa2 saja..contohnya tentang course yg kamu ambil sekarang..kamu belajar tentang apa..berapa tahun? Kamu dapat biasiswa kan? Aktiviti kamu disana..tentang universiti tu ke..cgu nak masukkan maklumat ni dlm majalah sekolah. Supaya dpt beri inspirasi kepada pelajar lain untuk belajar n capai kejayaan seperti kamu..tq

Hello everyone! It’s nice to meet all of you once again. Thanks a lot Cikgu Nazatul Arriffin and SMK Batu Kawa for giving me a chance to share my recent life with the juniors. Huh? Have to write a proper essay? Erm… it’s not my style. I’m here just to have some story telling la... Just make sure that you are stay awake until I say “Thank you”! Hehe…

This world is dynamic, it is full of changes and we have to be dynamic with it too. Some may leave and some may stay, we cannot be static forever, same goes to our dream. Our dreams may change as we go with time. I still remember that I always say that I want to become a doctor, a heart specialist or brain specialist. Wow! Sound exciting but now…

After SMK Batu Kawa, my next station is Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) at Tronoh, Perak, currently studying Foundation in Chemical Engineering (1 year) and will further my study in Degree in Chemical Engineering (4 years). Hehe.. I think for sure many of you curious about it, why I will choose to pursue my study at UTP, right? Erm… Before this, I also worry whether my choice is right or wrong. Dear juniors, however, there is no right or wrong with any kind of decision. What important is, you have to think further, other than just looking at the present situation. Well, doctor, somehow is not suitable for me because as we all know, a doctor requires the skill to manage the stress well. He or she has to face with a lot of challenges for example on-call 36 hours, a life is on your hand and so on. Wow! It’s terrible man! Maybe this job is more suitable for others, maybe one of you in the future, who knows? Haha.. So, choose what you think is suitable for you, not others think! If regret, just blame yourself, not others! Just kidding. J

Now, my second home is UTP. It is a university under PETRONAS and I’m one of the PETRONAS sponsored student (unexpected, haha…). Oh ya! Just a sweet reminder for SPM students, please aware of the PETRONAS sponsorship program and other wonderful scholarships after having your SPM, it is worth to have a try, maybe we will meet here, I’ll be your senior and you’ll be my junior once again!  Haha… As a PETRONAS sponsored student, what have to do here are just studying, attending the classes, relaxing… No need to worry about your tuition fee or accommodation fee, this big company will settle for you. Every month your will have allowance and also some pocket money to buy textbook or other necessary things. Interested, nice right? No yet finish, UTP is a wonderful university, it’s a green university, everything is just nice. Here are some photos to share with you all. The lecturers, staffs and students are just nice, they are amazing people. At here, we not only have local students but you will also have a chance to know international students from different countries, for example, Chad, Pakistan, Sudan and so on. Their thinking is different from us and we may grab a glimpse of knowledge from them. Lots of activities are held too, for example Red Sonata, International Culture Night (ICN), exhibition, theater night… Almost every week there are activities waiting for us to join it! Make sure you’ll be active all the time at university, enjoy the uni life!

Maybe now I cannot become a doctor, you all cannot call me DR. Phua or get some free treatments (you guys always ask for free treatment…, haha!). But, I can further my study until master and PHD, and when I come back in the future, maybe 10 years from now, please call me DR. Phua ya! Haha…

Dear juniors, be yourself! The life outside here maybe challenging for us, but for sure it’s AMAZING!
